There are now 4 divisions in the Teletots League sponsored by the Belfast Telegraph.. We will have 5 galas and a final in June 09. We had 3 very good years in Division 2, sadly we have dropped a division to division 3 for the next season.
The swimmers are grouped according to their age, which runs from 1 Jan - 31 Dec. There are 4 groups. A-D, A is the youngest and we have had swimmers as young as 6 swimming on the team. Teletots League dives off on ‘’’’TBC’’’’

Teletot Galas are usually swum on a Friday evening around the region to avoid the PTL and open Galas swum on a Saturday night. Galas may be swum on a Saturday where both parties agree. Warm-ups are usually 5.30pm sharp. Make sure you have the departure times and contact phone numbers if you are unable to travel with your child. We encourage at least one parent to travel with their swimmers where at all possible. We do not always take a bus as this is usually a cost of between £180 and £220 for one gala.
We ask each person travelling on the bus to pay £3 towards the cost of the trip - anyone doing a job does not have to pay.
There are plenty of jobs - timekeeping, helping on the desk, calling up the children, starting races, helping with teas for home galas and so on. Anyone can do the jobs and we run our time trials which are perfect opportunity to get to learn the skills required. Please volunteer !
The gala starts with Medley relays made up of four members in a team per age group. There are individual races for the four strokes over 25m. It ends with the freestyle relays. The gala will take about 1hr - 1½hrs. We are often asked to stay for tea and sandwiches, and usually

For many of our young swimmers the ‘Teletots’ Galas may be the first time swimmers see their first competitive swims. These galas are run by the participating clubs - there are always plenty of jobs for parents to do - please volunteer whenever possible.
