Summer Swimming Coaches: I need your summer commitments - if you all can help with just one session each that will greatly help. HERE
DIV 1 - Irish Age Group & Summer Open (Nationals) 2015 3 swimmers from BASC travelled to Dublin’s National Aquatic Centre on various days to compete in the Irish Nationals:- Claire Morrison, Cara Telfer & Liam Webb. First to swim on Thursday was Liam in the 100m Freestyle. Having only just scraped a qualifying time, expectations weren’t high; but he smashed his PB. Shocked wasn’t the word! Next up was Cara in the 100m Backstroke. After an unfortunate slip on the pads at the start, she recovered well to enter the turn in 2nd place in her heat. Her time was close to her PB which was excellent.Claire swam in the 100m Fly on the Friday & had an excellent PB. Saturday was the 100m Fly for Liam, again only just qualifying, but he achieved another PB. Very happy. The Girls were in action again on the Sunday in 100m Freestyle. Both Claire & Cara swam well, just outside their PB’s but within 0.1sec of each other!
Overall a successful competition for the club – well done to all 3 swimmers. No finals, but lots of PB’s & heads held high. They all enjoyed the experience & look forward to qualifying again next year. - someone looks pleased........
CONGRATULATIONS all Aquasprinters - great swims - well done to you all. You have secured us staying up in the Division for next year. Great news! A nail biting gala............
